I sincerely think that Kara's coaching helped me realize the great potential of my long distance relationship at its earliest stages. Kara has an innate ability to connect with people on a spiritual level with ease and embodies a perpetual sense of empathy. When I talk about my difficulties with dating and the things that make me both happy and frustrated, she "just gets it." She seems like an old friend who has seen you in all those rough spots in your life, who can see right inside you through all the walls and defenses. I knew that no matter in what emotional state I arrived at our meetings, I would always feel better by the end. That doesn't mean everything was fixed and perfect, but I always had a better perspective about them and action items to work on. Perspective was the key, understanding what I want and what motivated me and how it lines up with how others feel and act, and how the challenging process of finding someone special can help me get better as a person. She taught me how to learn from each date, each person I encountered, and not put any blame or judgement on myself -- or on others for that matter, which I found refreshing. Up to the point that I met Kara, I had been hoping and praying to meet the right person.
